September 18th 2010 14:18
Stand straight with both arms raised directly above you. Your palms should face one another and your arms be vertical. As you exhale, bend your knees, lowering your butt behind you as if about to be seated - but do not let your bottom or hips become lower than your knees. Your heels should remain firmly planted on the floor throughout.

The Utkatasana pose can be held for around a minute before release. Inhale and straighten your legs to begin the release. Exhale and bring your arms down to complete the asana.

Other Asana - Crescent moon pose

September 4th 2010 17:18
Start this asana by standing with your feet slightly apart and extending your arms outwards, palms up, horizontally on either side of your body. As you inhale, keeping your arms straight, raise them above your head and point to the ceiling with your index fingers while interlocking the rest.

Keeping your arms beside your ears and straight, tip at the waist to the right as you exhale. Your hips should extend slightly to the left in order to keep your legs and upper torso straight. Hold the pose for between 20 and 60 seconds before returning to the center and repeating the tilt to the left. Finish by lowering your arms as you exhale
