Forward bend?

November 24th 2010 17:20
Yes, in my last post I DID mention the forward bend that previously I have always said I did not practice….apart from very ‘weakly’ in THY.

I began practicing this asana a few weeks ago - the first time just to see how it would go as I had not tried for several months and I was wondering if I had any more flexibility than previously. It is a very slow progression, but whereas most parts of my Yoga routine have regressed due to lack of time to practice, this part has not

ROUTINE CHANGES - AGAIN!

November 21st 2010 16:52
I am forever trying to alter my Yoga routine as my life alters - trying to fit in a decent amount of Yoga on each day, yet not clash with mealtimes, chores, exhaustion….

My latest trend is to do a quick 10 minute session early in the morning and then to add odd poses into my day as I go onward. This is because I do not get very much time at any given point of the day, excepting times when I am too pooped to do anything but lie down and recuperate before the next run

Lately… 3

November 8th 2010 15:13
I have just caught my father’s cold. Despite tons of raw garlic, the lack of sleep two nights in a row and the artificial heating my father uses in his rooms had me catch the cold. A little more rest and I would have got through without it!

However, Yoga has kept me going - I am far fitter than my father while we both have colds. To me, it is a nose and throat containing something bad in an otherwise healthy body. My father has a cold and it ruins his entire body health

Lately… 2

November 4th 2010 15:06
Somedays, I could now fit in a Tibetan heart Yoga session safely - without interruption, and I hope to get back into practice shortly. For a while, when my father first had surgery and came home from hospital, I had to be on call 24/24, though. I got very little sleep and was working harder in the days.

I currently have to prepare 5-6 meals per day and attend to shopping, daily care rituals, cleaning, gardening, wheelchair-operating and phone-answering - and more! When it was 8 meals a day with multiple overnight interruptions, it was too much and my Yoga practice was on constant maintenance sessions with no proper practice

Lately… 1

November 1st 2010 15:28
Regular readers wondering how my personal practice is going might be ready for another update. Since relocating overseas and becoming an English carer instead of an Australian freelance writer/photographer would be a major decision for many people - but it was instant for me. I knew where I had to go and went.

Instead of battling against government enforcements to earn more and attend courses/work longer hours until I did, I now have the extremely cold winter temperatures and the fact that I cannot relax my ears during a Yoga session. I have to keep at least one ear open and be ready to roll out of any pose and hurry along to help out
