Yoga Tap - March 2011

Yoga thoughts - 2

March 29th 2011 07:29
When ‘wonderful, new, waterproof, no-care’ sheds turn into ‘impossible pieces of plastic that do not fit, will not slot in place, but snap, bend and break’ or ‘I give up….’, an extra five minutes Savasana is just as helpful as an enormous bloodcurdling scream, a bottle of beer, or pulling your hair out - and is far less harmful.

When fasting and your tummy rumbles and you really want to eat something although you know that you do not ‘need’ to - you can always think to yourself of the Yoga session you could not do if you had just shoveled a ton of food into yourself

Yoga thoughts - 1

March 3rd 2011 17:53
As I lay down on the pink carpet in my room this morning, ready to start my daily Yoga session, I did not really feel in the mood. The reason being my father had not retired until almost ten the previous night and it was now only just after 5am. Having to assist him to retire meant that I could not catch an early night myself.

My body ached and was stiff. My foot wouldn’t quite fit without bumping into a pile of books as I lay there. My head was slightly heavy and my face dry skinned and taut. My eyes did not really want to open. It is at times like this I sometimes wonder why I bother doing a daily practice and don’t skip every so often
