Events & practitioners: BKS Iyengar turns 90

BKS Iyengar will be celebrating his 90th birthday this weekend on the 14th December. There will be 108 sun salutations led by Jim Benvenuto and chanting led by Eric Small at a special observance. It is a free event and there will be Chai tea and sweets following the Surya Namaskars and chanting.

You can join in with one or more of the sun salutations dependent upon your capacity, and it is not just for practitioners of the Iyengar Yoga style. Anyone practicing any style of yoga who wishes to offer their respect and honor to BKS Iyengar is welcome to participate, whatever their level.
