Five minute Flu sessions
January 18th 2011 17:31
I have recently suffered from a strange flu-like ‘something’ and been barely able to practice Yoga at all. I knew that if I failed to do any Yoga whatsoever, my body would feel even worse than it did, but doing any activity was tiring compared to lying down resting and I was unable to get enough rest-time.
My solution was to create a five-minute ‘mini Yoga’ session. This consisted of 1 minute Savasana, 1 minute leg raising/wind pose, ½ minute bridge, ½ minute bow, 1 minute neck rolls, ½ minute rag doll, and ½ minute Savasana. Not a very fulfilling routine - but enough to ensure my back did not ache, my legs did not cramp, and my body did not feel as bad as my nose during this ‘flu thing’.
I am still unaware what exactly I had - as it seemed worse than a cold yet not as bad as regular flu. One of the things I looked forward to at its cessation was a PROPER 20-minutes plus Yoga routine!
