Forward bend?

Yes, in my last post I DID mention the forward bend that previously I have always said I did not practice….apart from very ‘weakly’ in THY.
I began practicing this asana a few weeks ago - the first time just to see how it would go as I had not tried for several months and I was wondering if I had any more flexibility than previously. It is a very slow progression, but whereas most parts of my Yoga routine have regressed due to lack of time to practice, this part has not.
I actually found that I could not only reach below my knees to my ankles - and now to my toes - but that I could actually ‘BEND’ forward from the starting position.
The lack of being able to bend forward is the main reason why I did not waste my time and effort on this pose previously. I can now manage to shift more than ONE inch - although I am far from bending RIGHT forward…
