Other Asana - ‘little boat twist’
August 14th 2010 14:33
Lying on your back, bend both legs up towards and onto your chest - as if doing wind pose. Extend both arms out to their respective sides at right angles to your body.
Little boat pose continues on an exhale, at which point you roll your still-bent legs over to the right hand side of the body and down onto the floor. You need to keep the top half of your back along with your shoulders connected to the floor to benefit most.
Next, turn your head to the left and gaze towards the left, along your extended left arm. You should hold the pose for approximately half a minute before returning to the central position on an inhale and then repeating to the opposite side after a full breath.
