Standing up...
March 15th 2010 10:15
One of the latest routine changes I have made is to do more of my session standing up. This may just be because despite vacuuming the carpet myself, I recall that it is circa 40 years of age and has never been steam cleaned....
When I have completed my 'starting' section - Savasana, leg raises, wind poses, shoulder stand & bow - I tend to stand up for most of the rest of the routine. I continue - at the moment - with a shortened sun salutation, standing wheel, triangle, then standing head and neck and eye exercises/Pranayama - prior to returning to the floor for Savasana.
I have also been attempting a few new moves - and contemplating pushing further into the ones I call regulars. Camel & headstand are next on my attempt list, after trying to include the hook (standing or sitting) and forward stretch (seated) for the past two days - and my leg stretches and triangle are improving in their stretch limit.
