Tibetan Heart Yoga V Sivananda Yoga
April 7th 2010 09:21
Once again, I have been altering my regular routine session. Since moving overseas to live in my Dad's house last December, I have made multiple changes but been able to practice 6-7 days a week.
I usually have a Sivananda based routine that I have messed around with to suit my day and way, but started THY again after a 2-3 month break. I have also transferred to practicing in my bedroom, as the lounge carpet is somewhat - um - yukky and old.
These changes might have run a bit smoother had not my daily routine been messed up due to my father taking ill over Easter - I have had to act nurse as well as house daughter and fitting in even 20-30 minutes of Yoga is difficult when all you want to do is zzz.
Luckily, Yoga has kept me fit myself - and I have yet to catch the cold that Dad caught last week - which subsequently turned into bronchitis and infection over Easter. It keeps me healthy, along with my diet - some of which comes from a Yoga cookbook. Prior to Yoga, I would not have scrambled through the past weekend - of being called for every 2-3 hours through the night, staying up late to wait for after hours doctors to turn up, and running the general house, cooking all meals, supervising Dad's medication, etc....
PHEW! Thank goodness for Yoga!!
