WRITING BREAK - OVERSEAS RELOCATION - returning 2010!
December 4th 2009 15:22
Just a quick message to regular readers of Yogatap to let you know that due to relocating overseas there may be no new updates for the next 3-8 weeks.
I will be flying overseas to stay with an elderly parent early in December, and unable to get online to continue with my writing until such time as I have purchased both a new computer and organized a bank account from which to pay for an ISP.
At least this will be a great opportunity for me to share Yoga with my father - (although he is in his mid-80's, I have been reading up on Yoga for the elderly and Chair Yoga in preparation!!) I am hoping that when he sees how I have conquered my 'unconquerable' arthritis and can still easily sit in half-lotus or roll into a shoulderstand or bow in my supposedly-crippled middle age, interest in Yoga may arise in him.
It will be a very strange experience for me - to return to my childhood village and family home after 22 years living the other side of the world. But Yoga is helping me as well as hopefully it will my Dad's 'weak legs' once I tempt him with a library book and Asana or two... Along with my Buddhist studies and practice, my Yoga practice is keeping me calm during these hectic weeks preceding my flight and complete change of lifestyle. (Though - I do wish I had not already packed my neti pot - I am snuffling like crazy!)
Please keep yogatap.com bookmarked (or subscribe) and check back in January/February - I will continue with my writings ASAP.
