Yoga discussion - Kundalini Yoga
February 27th 2009 15:58
Kundalini Yoga is another area that I would personally like to investigate further. Over the past couple of years, I have become more than simply aware of an inner energy. I have developed a sensing of my inner body that ihas become more precise than that of my outer. I am not aware of each and every chakra in full, but I am getting there...
One of the very first things I noticed when I began to properly practice Yoga in 2006, was the effect of simple Pranayama practice on my health. One of the things that I have only just learned is the connection between breathing and health with the inner energies of the body.
Now, when I have a problem - whether physical, mental, or spiritual in nature - I can usually assess it on all of these levels. This does not always help me address the problem, but it offers me more than one avenue for attempted resolution. I would definitely like to extend my knowledge of Yogic methods for pranic health, in order to have more areas of assistance available.
Taking a specific example - I recently had a mega shock that turned me physically sick, mentally stunned, and spiritually crushed. I was able to determine that my inner body energy was trembling, shuddering, sick and dying, whilst my inner head energy was active because of the shock - and that my neck chakra was in need of assistance, being a blockage point. Because of my learnings - not only of Yogic philosophy, but of Buddhist and Indian philosophy as well - I was able to locate the physical problem within my neck chakra - it was 'stuck' in some way. Kundalini Yoga may not be the only answer to learning how to deal with pranic flow and chakral blockage problems, but I think it might help by offering another method of possible aid during such moments for when those I am aware of are unavailable.
