DEC 12: Sharath Rangaswamy at Purple Valley

PLEASE NOTE: The workshop requires full knowledge of the entire Ashtanga Primary Series and an established self-practice. Sharath has also requested that participants have worked with him or his grandfather at some time in the past – this can be at one of the workshops on their World Tours, or in Mysore.

DEC 13: Celtic Yoga Journey - Spirit of Yoga. Spirit of Place - Mid Winter Stillness @ Kagyu Samye Dzong Glasgow Scotland.
11am-2pm. QUOTE: Drawing on the spirit of Yoga and the Spirit of Place, Celtic Yoga explores the deep connections in these two spiritual traditions. Through asana, breath work and chant, Celtic Yoga manifests a creative and healing seasonal inspired journey through the chakras, focusing on the elements, nature, and observing the ancient Celtic points of the calendar. At Mid-winter the Sun reaches its lowest point in the sky. It is the shortest day and longest night. The wheel of Time momentarily stops turning and we remind ourselves of the need for peace amidst the inevitable buzz of the festive period, taking an opportunity to experience the stillness within. As we acknowledge return of the Sun's energy and look forward to the days becoming longer, we celebrate rebirth and the manifestation of dreams. We reflect and make resolutions. We also acknowledge kinship, company and the need for celebration so we will also share some time after the workshop and some festive light refreshments.
