Yoga Styles: Pancadashânga-Yoga

Pancadashanga Yoga may also be known as Pancadasha-anga Yoga, and is the 15-Fold Path mentioned in the Tejo-Bindu-Upanishad. It should be pronounced 'pan-kah-dash-uhng-guh'. Most of the 15 points of Pancadashanga Yoga are relative to discipline. Practice involves working on the following areas:
*YAMA: moral discipline
*NIYAMA: self restraint
*TYAGA: renunciation
*MAUNA: silence
*DESHA: right place
*KALA: right time
*ASANA: postures
*MULA-BANDHA: root locks
*DEHA-SAMYA: body equilibrium
*DRIK-STHITI: steadiness and stability of vision
*PRANAYAMA: control of breath/life force
*PRATYAHARA: withdrawal or inhibition of the senses
*DHARANA: concentration
*ATMA-DHYANA: meditation on self
*SAMADHI: divine unity, ecstasy, profound mental absorption
