Yin Yoga is a reestablished ancient practice that enables participants to find greater ease when sitting for long periods in Lotus. Yin Yoga directs the gain deeper than muscular tissues. It targets the ligaments, bones, and joints that often miss out from other Yogic postures known as yang Yoga.
Yin yoga, is a Chinese style of Yoga akin to Hatha Yoga. The circa 35 passive Asanas connected to Yin Yoga may be held for up to twenty minutes each. Regular standing and balancing postures are not a standard part of the sequence. Muscle temperature is a predominant feature addressed within Yin Yoga. Muscles are less elastic when cold. This is why many people practice Yin Yoga early in the day.
Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers are well known for teaching this Yoga form in the Western world. The fundamental teachings come from Paul Grilley and include ideas relative to TCM & qigong. Many practice to allow their 'qi' energy to flow better, whilst others seek a complementary practice for yang Yoga.
