Yoga thoughts - 12

Even if you are a regular reader, you may be unaware that at one time, not so long ago, I was somewhat of a pizzaholic. If pizza were on the agenda, I would wolf it down slice by slice until I could shovel in no more without being sick. I would then pop any leftovers in the friodge and be at it again as soon as there was room.
This is gross and greedy of me, I admit - but until a year or two ago, that is how I was over pizza. I would eat shop delivered pizzas, frozen pizzas with added toppings, and, more recently, cook pizzas from scratch adding healthier toppings such as rose petals, nasturtium flowers, and hot chilies.
When I became a vegetarian, which must have been 3-6 years ago, I did not stop wolfing down cheese laden zas. I had mushroom pizza, capsicum pizza, floral pizza, and salad pizza. When I became a semi-vegan, pizza was the one of the things I missed most. I did not eat regular bread to miss cheese in a sandwich or on toast, nor did I add it to many meals other than pasta which was easily slipping off the regular menu to be replaced by curries and other INdian meals anyway. But, I did miss pizza - my one cheese fix that I found it hard to drop.
Whilst I still pay attention to my diet, and am vegan other than Monday nights - you cannot tell an Indian restaurant you don't want ghee, paneer, yogurt, etc cooked in your food - pizza has been calling. The local shops did not sell any vegan cheese, though...
I have now found a place online that stocks not only a wide selection of vegan cheeses, but other vegan treats - so you can imagine my delight at the thought of finally tasting pizza again in the near future. I can stick to my ahimsa-caused veganity yet do not have to drop my pizzality any more!!!!
Roll on Friday when my fake mozarella, fake bacon and fake pepperoni are due to arrive! Of course, I will no longer be shovelling it down slice after slice til I almost burst - as I don't think I would be able to practice Yoga for a couple of days with a bulging belly, but the ONLY tasty meal I miss will now again be sometimes eaten!
