Yoga thoughts - 16
November 25th 2011 16:55
One of the problems I have at the current time, is timing. I simply cannot decide at which point in the day do practice my physical Yoga asanas. If I choose first thing - at 4.30am - it is fine for summer, but currently approaching winter. Climbing out from cosy bed covers to lay on the carpet and sloely move is far from appealing. Currently, I practice a short session after my coffee-compute half hour, about an hour later. However, this leaves me filled with coffee and in a rush.
I could practice later in the day - as I do my standing poses.Howevere, I could not do my floorwork then, as I usually do my upright asanas whilst my father is sitting at the sink washing and shaving. It is not very appropriate to roll around on the cold tiles of the kitchen floor at such a moment.
Later in the day, I could fit in a 25-minute session. However, I am generally too sleepy and filled after my daily meal and too exhausted later in the evening - at such point as I can sit down and compute or lie down and read, but handle little activity.
It seems I am going to have to reorganize my entire day just so I can fit in a decent 20-minute Yoga practice at some other as yet undetermined point. I really want to make Yoga a bigger part of my day, but my day is not currently in my own hands....
