Yoga thoughts - 4 - Easter
April 26th 2011 14:22
Easter used to mean something very different to me than it currently does. Once, it meant that a tray covered in a tea towel would be presented to me before breakfast on Sunday morning. Under the covering would be all my chocolate gifts - usually a rabbit, egg cup, chocolate eggs, and other goodies. These days it simply means that there will be no mail delivery for a few extra days….
Food and mail - hmm, not very Yoga-connective, perhaps. However, in one way they are! Reading and practicing Yoga has definitely changed my diet. Although my Buddhist practice may have changed it more, Yoga definitely has more than a small influence on my choices and changes. As for the mail, well… if I do not have anything to distract me, there may be extra time for practice!
I have changed considerably since childhood, when uncovering goodies greedily was a delight. I do not even eat chocolate unless it is vegan chocolate these days!
